Spring Nail Polish

So spring is upon us but unfortunately England doesn't like to conform to the season. It's still cold, windy and rainy, but there have been some sunny days where it was almost acceptable to wear
a skirt. But a way to get into the spring mood is to paint your nails to match the season!!

For spring I think it's appropriate to bring out the bright colours. These include light pinks, mint greens, light blues, whites, just anything that puts you in a good mood!! Recently I went to boots to find some nail polishes to get my into the spring time feels. Barry M is my absolute favourite brand and it's practically the only type of nail polish that I wear due to its price and good quality. Here are a few of my favourites for spring:

First is two nail polishes from the Barry M Silk Nail Effects. This collection has natural pastel colours which I think is perfect for spring. They have an absolutely gorgeous shine to them which makes them look so luxurious. I was expecting this range to be rather watery, but I was surprised to find that it only needed 2 coats to create a beautiful even colour. Here I have them in the colours Pearl and Meadow (in respective order to the pictures). Pearl is a beautiful white which I think would look especially amazing with tanned skin (something I am not blessed with). Meadow is an amazing turquoise blue colour which is perfect for spring as it really brightens your nails. I am definitely going to consider getting others from this range as they only cost £3.99.

The next polishes are from their Nail Paint collection which is a very affordable product at only £2.99. First is Pink Flamingo which is a very unique pink colour. It is almost like a salmon colour which is bright and cheery for spring.

Next is Strawberry Ice Cream which I think looks so fun on the nails. This light pink colour looks natural and easy going, perfect for spring.

One of my absolute favourite nail polishes of all time is the Textured Nail Effect in Ridley Road. It reminds me of the Tiffany & Co sort of turquoise colour which is so fresh and springlike to me. This is priced at £3.99.

I hope you have enjoyed my post and I have inspired you to try new nail polishes for spring! Let me know what your favourite spring nail polishes are so I can add them to my collection.

Liebster Award

As you are probably well aware from the title of this blog, I have been nominated for a Liebster Award by Isabella from Fashionisa. It was so kind of her to nominate me so please check out her blog! So lets get started:

1. What are your favourite stores to shop at?
My absolute favourite store is Primark! Half of my wardrobe is probably from there. But some of my other favourites would be H&M and Urban Outfitters (Because absolutely everything in there is amazing and suits me to a T).
2. What is your favourite colour?
Pink! My room is a pink explosion! But the funny thing is, I don't like wearing pink...
3. What's one place you'd love to go to?
I would love to go somewhere like Greece because I want to get away from the crappy weather in England and just lounge around on the beach.
4. Do you prefer sour or sweet candy?
I love sour candy the most! Especially Haribo!
5. What is your favourite place to shop at or in?
Oxford street London, or Stratford Westfield because they have absolutely every store that you would want in one place.
6. Who is your fashion icon?
I love Zoellas' Fashion sense. If I see her wearing something I will automatically start looking for items like hers so that I can look like her!
7. What is your favourite type of drink?
I love banana milk or banana milk shakes or smoothies!! Just any drink with banana really.
8. What's your favourite type of music?
Pop, or just anything in the charts (I'm so mainstream...)
9. Why did you decide to start a blog?
It's a funny story actually. My university news paper wouldn't reply to my emails about writing for the fashion section, so I decided that I should just be proactive and start my own blog. And this way I can post whatever I want and not have anyone else to tell me what to do.
10. Favourite type of shoe? (heel, flat, etc.)
Flat!! At the moment my two types of shoes that I wear are either boots or vans.
11. What is your favourite season for fashion?
This is a hard one because I love putting on different layers for winter, and I love jackets, but shorts in summer are just amazing....

Now It's my turn to nominate some Bloggers:
Sophie Jade           Amy          Chloe       Sisse     Sammeh     Novarellie    Addicted To Lipstick

Laura        BE Beautiful          Shelley        Emily

And my questions for you 11 beautiful women are:
1. What's one beauty product you cant live without?
2. If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
3. What is your favourite brand of makeup?
4. If you could visit any time period, what would it be and why?
5. What is your biggest addiction?
6. What is your favourite TV show?
7. What is your most embarrassing moment?
8. If you could change your name, what would you change it to?
9. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
10. Would you rather be famous or be the best friend of someone famous?
11. What is your earliest memory?

I hope you enjoyed this post! And don't forget to check out the ladies I linked up above, because they have amazing blogs. I cant wait to see your answers!

Are You Dressed For Spring ?

So Spring is definitely upon us but it doesn't always seem that way in this cloudy and grey place called England. But why not make the most of what you have by making it at least feel like spring for yourself and the people around you! I think that the best way to do this is by choosing to wear bright and cheery clothes. Here is my outfit which is fun, bright and gets me into the spring mood.

The shirt I am wearing is from Pull & Bear. This is the first purchase I've ever made from this shop. I happened to walk past it whilst shopping in Westfield, and was intrigued by what was inside. I really like their clothes and the prices seem very affordable. I would definitely recommend checking them out. My turquoise collar shirt is a really nice soft material and hangs nice and loose. It's super comfortable and super affordable at only £9.99!!

I've paired it with my high waisted dark blue jeans from New Look. New Look is great if you're a student like me because you can get a 10% discount on your purchase! I love wearing high waisted trousers as I feel it complements my body shape. Being confident and comfortable in what you're wearing is so important as it determines how others see you.

The shoes I am sporting are from a departmental store in America which I picked up in New York last year. I got them for about $6 as an urgent purchase as the sandals I was wearing that day broke as I was seeing the sights of New York and I  needed some new ones to walk around in. They are super comfortable and easy to wear and definitely bring a spring mood to the outfit. If it is still too cold for sandals wherever you might be, you could instead wear brown boots, which give a very natural look.

I hope this outfit has inspired you to get into the spring mood, or at least helped you decide what to wear for the day. I hope you enjoyed this post!! Let me know what you like to wear during Spring!

Shower Regime

So it's that time of the week again where you need to clean yourself up again
because your boyfriend is complaining about your cactus legs. Why not pamper yourself to make your self feel beautiful and clean. Unfortunately I'm not able to have a nice soak in a bath because my university hall doesn't offer this to me. But that doesn't mean I cant still feel relaxed.

I like to listen to my favourite music while I'm in the shower and sing along (hopefully my floor mates aren't complaining about my amazing singing...). Now I don't know about you but I can get mighty hairy. If there is any unwanted hair on my body, I like to either wax or hair remove it. I prefer to do this because the hair grows back a lot less.

Currently for hair removal cream I am using Veets Suprem' Essence Hair Removal Cream which is currently on offer at boots for £10.19. Having this huge pump is great. It means that I don't need to worry about running out mid application. Ive had this for probably 5 months or so and I use this pretty much every week. It doesn't smell as bad as other hair removal creams, and leaves your skin feeling super soft. It comes with a spatula but I prefer to use an exfoliating glove which I think works better. You can pick up an exfoliating glove from a pound store, or pretty much everywhere.

Waxing is another option if you're not a fan of the smell. Currently I have Veets Wax Strips with Easy Grip which is currently on offer at boots for £6.45. Waxing does hurt like a bitch but it will leave you with finer hair growth and longer lasting results. Sometimes it is hard to bring yourself to pulling the wax strip off you but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Its all in the name of being hairless ladies!!!!

And lastly it is the easiest and least painful option. Shaving!!! Currently Im using the Gillette Venus and Olay Sugaberry razor heads. They smell amazeballs and you don't need to use soap or a shaving cream because the moisture bars are just that great. They leave your legs feeling just amazing and I find that I get a nicer shave.

Now these are my luxurious hair removal products. Feel free to leave me a comment recommending what hair removal products I should get my hands on. I am very tempted to get an epilator just to try it out and I think it would be something good to review. Let me know what you thing.

Welcome to my blog

You've some how found your way to my blog, wondering whether it is worth your time and I hope you think it is. I thought I should start by sharing who I am. I don't think you want to hear everything about me because that my be boring but I can at least give you some idea of who I am.

So lets get started. My name is Elizabeth, and Im 18 years old. I was born in Sydney Australia and moved to England when I was 16. I am now studying mathematics at one of the best universities in London. And I know you may think Im a nerd because I like maths, but I can assure you I'm just like any other girl. I love fashion and makeup and am constantly looking at different beauty gurus for advice and new products.

I first started wearing makeup when I was about 13 because I wasn't confident in my own skin due to my blemishes. Makeup was a way for me to be more confident and a way for me to accept myself. It made me feel pretty and less worried about people staring at a huge red pimple on my face. So over the years I have gained many tricks to my makeup but I would in no means call myself a professional.

Now I have always loved clothes and my tiny wardrobe in my university hall is overflowing with clothes. I have clothes bursting out of my ears!! I love to style different things together, and I love to stay in fashion. I'm always looking around to see what people are wearing to get inspiration for myself.

I hope I have been able to convince you to read on, and hopefully follow me to read my future blogs??
I hope you have enjoyed my first post. Please give me feedback on what I should do to improve or any suggestions on what I should write about. I look forward to your responses.

Lots of love
Elizabeth x
